The psychologist that eval'd. told me right at the start that he had another meeting to attend in like 20 min. so that set the precedent for our little meeting and ticked me off right off the bat! I said if you need to be somewhere else and knew that, why didn't you guys cancel this meeting until we had more time? The diagnostician quickly came to his rescue and said, " oh this isn't the regular ARD, as it's only us here and no one else, this is just to go over the results and he doesn't have to be here either, I can explain everything to you " , but the psychologist ended up staying and going over everything anyway. Now, all this pressure before the school's out of compliance!!!

Maybe a letter from me forgoing the meeting would get them off the hook. It wasn't really a " re eval " , it was a SPECIAL evaluation requested by me to do an autism eval., not an overall eval for the three yr. thing. Hi , Ok, at least you have the results of the evaluation already. Do you know what recommedations resulted for that eval and what they wanted to change? You can just make it short and sweet attend their compliance meeting and just say that you are waiting to get more info from the KKI. The meeting with reconviene when you have your report. I don't think that would cause any problems and you would be meeting them halfway. charlyne Mom to Zeb 9 DS/OCD ?
