Boy, what a close call last night! I was preparing to go for a walk, when

several big drops of rain started to fall, I thought, gee, we aren't supposed

to get any rain..... was watching a DVD, so I put the news on, and we

were under a TORNADO WATCH, which quickly turned into a

WARNING........wow...nothing was predicted AT ALL.......they started

developing within two hours way below FW and was headed OUR WAY!!!!! Siren

started blaring....they broke into the channels with the emergency

warnings.... had fallen asleep on the couch watching the DVD, dh was out

of town, me and Josh grabbed a mattress and , and huddled in the bathroom

with the TV and sirens blaring.

Thank God, it missed us but the news reports and the morning's papers say it

all.......this big storm developed into several tornadoes that hit parts of

FW, Arlington and headed toward Dallas!!! Never since I've lived here have I

seen anything this bad!!! The bad weather missed our area by 6:30, however,

the weathermen were STILL reporting tornadoes headed towards Dallas and

beyond!!! It didn't end until after 10:00 when they lowered it to a

thunderstorm warning!!!

Thank God we are all okay, not even a tree limb uprooted around

here......just wanted to let this off my chest!

Whew,

WHEW is right !!!! How incredibly scary!!!! Glad you guys are ok

too! Philly doesn't get hit with tornadoes, but my BIL who lives about 25

minutes from us, got hit with one a few years back. He had bought the

house only three days before when it hit. Tree crashed into his roof and it

totally demolished all this magnificent trees and shrubbery behind his house.

He was quoted $50,000 to remove it!!! Those things are terrifying!!!

How'd did do through it all?

Yeah, they had the news on for a few hours yesterday.

They said a tornarod hit Ft Worth and I think another

place. At least it didn't come near McKinney- but it

was nasty at the DFW airport and that's like 50 min

away.

Hi ,

When I watched the news and saw Texas I immediately thought of you and Irma.

I would have been scared to death. I 'm glad everybody is ok!!

Whoa! ,

Glad everyone is fine. Say, wouldn't you know your dh out of town and

he misses out on the action. Those tornados have been pretty

unpredictable. Take care.
