Guest guest
I wonder if this is why the EPA went on that document-shredding spree a short while back. They shut down their " libraries " accross the country and destroyed taxpayer-funded data, including thousands of periodicals in which taxpayer-funded studies appeared. The periodicals were found in stacks in dumpsters. The EPA had no adaquate answers for why this was done other than " budget cuts " . http://www.commondreams.org/headlines06/1202-01.htm Congress ordered the operation to stop: http://tinyurl.com/y9k45d It's been going on for a long time: http://foi.missouri.edu/federalfoia/lamberthfinds.html > > " ...the EPA's action cripples a 20-year program that required > companies to report the amount of lead, mercury and other toxins they > released. > 'Polluters can release 10 times more toxins like lead and mercury > without telling anyone,' " > > http://news./s/ap/20071128/ap_on_re_us/toxic_reports >
