Then we have no candidate to clean this mess. Ron will never see office,

unfortunately...unless he ran on the republican ticket. All the republicans need

is one

really good candidate (which I don't think they have). It seems like all the

Dems have is

clinton and Obama... neither of which stand much chance in the conservative

south.

Ron is running on the Rebulican ticket. He is gaining in the

polls, and raising phenominal amounts of money. The media is trying

very hard to keep this quiet.

Ron is the only candidate who is for legitimate health freedom and

open govt. He's my guy, and those of you with vaccine damaged kids

should consider supporting him also.

www.ronpaul2008.com

Americans are justifiably concerned over the government's escalating

intervention into their freedom to choose what they eat and how they

take care of their health.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), in order to comply with

standards dictated by supra-national organizations such as the UN`s

World Food Code (CODEX), NAFTA, and CAFTA, has been assuming greater

control over nutrients, vitamins and natural health care providers to

restrict your right to choose the manner in which you manage your

health and nutritional needs.

I have been the national leader in preserving Health Freedom.

I have introduced the Health Freedom Protection Act, HR 2117, to ensure

Americans can receive truthful health information about supplements and

natural remedies.

I support the Access to Medical Treatment Act, H.R. 2717, which expands

the ability of Americans to use alternative medicine and new

treatments.

I oppose legislation that increases the FDA`s legal powers. FDA has

consistently failed to protect the public from dangerous drugs,

genetically modified foods, dangerous pesticides and other chemicals in

the food supply. Meanwhile they waste public funds attacking safe,

healthy foods and dietary supplements

I also opposed the Homeland Security Bill, H.R. 5005, which, in section

304, authorizes the forced vaccination of American citizens against

small pox. The government should never have the power to require

immunizations or vaccinations.

I'm not sure if really has a shot, but I look forward to seeing

him liven up the debates if he isn't banished from them.

I sincerely hope we can be spared partisan bickering on this list, but

I do have a couple of comments:

- Ron is definitely the dark horse in this race, so I wouldn't

count him out, and I'm always glad for any candidate who has the

courage to look at issues with a fresh and honest perspective

- I don't think any mainstream candidate can afford to go up against

the AMA, insurance companies, pharma interests, and the public health

establishment, but I was at least encouraged to see that H Clinton

*acknowledge* the size of the problem. The number she's throwing

around is not what will happen. It will be much more or much less.

- Our job should be to get more candidates to recognize that this is

an enormous public health problem, and to promise that they'll give it

more than token attention once they're in office.

I like Ron , but if you're going to vote for him you should be

aware of some of his viewpoints. He does vote " from the pulpit, "

which is fine for most of the anti-vaccine folk as he will definitely

work to keep the religious exemption around for a while. Wikipedia

has a post on him that is linked below that will give more details.

He is pro-life, but also believes in state's rights so would leave the

decision on abortion to each state individually. (a paraphrase of his

own words, not mine.) He is at least opposed to Big Pharma and

corporate subsidies, which resonates with my own libertarian leanings.

They will ALL have to acknowledge the size of the problem!

I usually vote democratic but never in a million years will vote for

Clinton after all I've seen of her in the last few years.

Ron is the only hope and all need to rally round him instead of

worrying their vote will be thrown away

I hope he survives

Ron is a Libertarian regardless of what he calls himself. I'm

all for voting who you believe in and not trying to pick a potential

winner, but Ron getting the Republican nomination is complete

fantasy. Go ahead and vote for him, but place your " hope " elsewhere.

If Ron would have a different stance regarding war I think he'd

be the no 1 candidate. That's gonna keep him from getting it.

The problem is there is no hope. Not with either the dems, or the

republicans. I have thought in the past Ron was a bit radical.

We are at the point in this country that only radical change will

make a difference. He is also for personal choice in medicine. That

means no forced vacccine mandates. Compared to all the other

candidates he is the only one that will bring any real change.

Debi,

Its his stance on the war that is pushing him up in the polls. He is

also the candidiate that the military families are behind.

I think that's questionable. I can't speak for military families, I'm

not from one but the military families I do know are not supporting

. I think a lot of his ideas, other than war, would be very

marketable to the majority of Republican voters but his views about

war are very unpopular with the majority of Republicans. By majority I

mean more than 50%. He's no where near that high in polls. Of course,

polls are known to be wrong.

BTW, I got a call for a poll the other day. She asked, " What do you

consider the no 1 issue in America today " then rattled off several

issues. I said, " None of them, autism is the no 1 issue. " She was

stumped for a minute, then listed it, then told me her mother, who is

a sped teacher, would certainly agree with me.
