Guest guest
I was writing my next article for the ARI Newsletter when I was struck by a very amazing if not slightly humorous irony. I was addressing some of the recent media coverage on so- called " alternative " therapies for Autism, which of course was all struck down by the so-called experts. No proof, Anecdotal, probably weren't really autistic to begin with, and my personal favorite " charlatans preying on desperate parents " . So as I pictured their view, I pictured their vision of these poor, desperate, weak and vulnerable parents, being unwittingly swept up into experimenting on their own child in their weakness and desperation. Simpletons, unable to grasp reality and trying to use their uneducated minds to grasp " real science " , which is apparently out of their reach or ability. The suddenly I recalled Offitt talking about these same parents as wicked, scheming, aggressive, plotting, threatening, frightening to him and his " friends " at the CDC. I saw this view as aggressive, confident, individuals who know full well what they are doing. I had to laugh out loud to myself. So which is it Offit, am I a clever, conniving, plotting parent, scheming to do you harm along with your 'friends' as well as your much worshipped vaccine program? Or, am I a weak, vulnerable, dim-witted simpleton, easily sucked into unproven treatments, unable to rationalize fact from fiction and hence no threat to you and your colleagues? The only answer to this argument must be that they know we are neither. The parents using the biomedical approach and fighting the deadly vaccine program are educated, intelligent, self-thinkers, full of self-confidence, and endowed with a mission, far greater than our own children. They have to turn our actions into desperate acts of simpleton parents, and our mission into threatening, out of control, if not violent and unstable mobs, because they know that we know the truth. Guest guest
Lol, good point. The same distortions are historically placed on EVERY survivor network and activist group pushing for needed change. Conniving one moment, dumb as a bag of hammers the next, according to whatever plans to suppress the authorities are concocting at the moment or as a reflection of what certain corrupt authorities know. For instance, I'll bet that when internal CDC research comes close to finding that the vaccine hypotheses have more truth in them than not, these authorities will imagine the rage of parents if this were ever disclosed. While under no threat at all they might change their phone numbers or ask a guard to escort them to the parking structure. They'll imagine crazed parents hiding behind every tree. If these authorities are taking their own medicine and end up with dementia, what do you want to bet that the bulk of their delusions will be about crazed homicidal mommies. As someone famous once said (can't remember who) " God forgives our sins but our nervous system does not " . I'm not sure God will forgive this, though. > > I was writing my next article for the ARI Newsletter when I was > struck by a very amazing if not slightly humorous irony. > > I was addressing some of the recent media coverage on so- > called " alternative " therapies for Autism, which of course was all > struck down by the so-called experts.
