Guest guest
Hi a I think others have already given good advice. There are many other similar conditions to that you have to rule out first. Each one has its own preferred method of treatment so it is important to do a thorough diagnostic workup first. Unfortunately there is no definitive test (blood test etc) to simply diagnose . As someone already said there are childen on this borard who may not have but for want of a " better " diagnosis they are labelled as such. After reading many messages here I realise that not all children have for example the mouth ulcers but most do. Some kids get them later on. My son has them worse now at 12 years old than he did when he was little. He also has a lot of headaches and vomiting which not all kids have either. He has very little joint involvement whereas others have significant joint involvement. It's a long road and time must necessarily be taken to work on a diagnosis - that is once you have found the doctor who is willing to take you on board and give a lot of time and energy to your child's case. Read the file section and the older messages to learn as much as possible. Also keep a detailed log of each fever episode and the other symptoms...........and never give up!
