Guest guest
Edie- I read your post about your daughters lips turning blue before she fevers. Our daughter does the same thing. Her hands, feet and face also turn blue. Our doctors have all said. " some times when an infant or toddler is fevering there extremeties will turn blue while their body is fighting the fever at their core " . I've always pointed out to them that she doesn't have much of a fever if a fever at all when she is blue. But once the blue goes away, her fever spikes up to 103 or 105. They really have always just brushed it off like they had the answer. It doesn't feel like the " right " answer for me. We've taken pictures of it and shown the doctors- they freak when they see what it looks like with her dark purble lips and bluish face half way through her cheeks. They've sent us home with a sat monitor- but she's always fine. I think I read about one other little boy who turns blue. Its odd and its scary, but I don't believe its a virus or their bodies fighting a fever that isn't even there yet. Thoughts?
