We're done with prednisone...

Evan has been on a 3 week cycle. At his last appointment with the

rheumatologist I was pushing for a consult with an ENT. His doctor

wanted me to try prednisone first. I explained to him and showed him

documentation on the possibility that it may bring the fevers closer

together. We'll against my better judgemtent we started the pred.

Over the course of 9 weeks it brought the fevers to a 2 week cycle,

then one week and most recent 3 days!!!! I have finally got the go

ahead to consult with the ENT. As many of you are--I am beyond

frustrated! I want someone to be mad at, someone to blame for taking

so long to figure something out, someone to scream at to figure it out

and fix it--no more wasting time!!!! I don't want to get my hopes up,

but I pray that the ENT is feels the T & A is a probable treatment and

Evan get's some relief. A fever of 106 is absolutely not acceptable

every 3 weeks for a child--why don't doctors understand this!!!!
