We get my daughter (7 1/2) a flu shot every year because she does get all the usual stuff and well as the syndrome fevers. Often a more serious infection (than a cold) will then trigger months of frequent " echo " flares of her usual symptoms after recovering from the initial infection. Her flares are often triggered by stress, illness, being really worn out, etc. With her, this has always been the case, even as a toddler, so that is different than many people's experience. She has had genetic testing & all the usual rule-outs over the years, so is the best diagnosis we are left with. I have a friend whose emails always come through with odd punctuation; I always thought she was using some hip ascii humor, but no, it wasn't the way she had typed it in. d Timblin mdefaye@...
