My daughter was breastfeed for 15 months, but fevers started around 26 months.

She had allergy testing done around the same time she was diagnosed with

(around 2 yrs old).  She has a mild allergy to peanuts and stomach in tolerances

to wheat, dairy & eggs.  I have been told by her pediatrician & naturopath that

there is most-likely no link between & food allergies, however since

changing her diet, her fever cycles grew longer.  Used to be every 3-4 weeks,

now every 6-7 weeks.  Overall, she is a " healthier " child since the diet switch.

I don't know about breastfeeding and , but I breastfed my son for 14 months

and introduced solids at 6 months. He had problems from the beginning with new

foods (he developed eczema) and began having autism-spectrum like behaviors at

12 months. While he still has difficulty with mood regulation and has learning

differences, as well as this blasted , when we are careful with his diet,

his life is improved in many ways (food sensitivities can also cause respitory

problems so it's worth looking into--if one allergist won't do an atopy patch

test for possible food issues, try another one!).

Also in terms of diet (we get plenty of sun in N. Texas, so I don't think vit. D

is an issue for us), we've also noticed a difference in my son's fever pattern

when we're strict with a gluten/casein free diet (once had a 50 day break) and

that when we slip up on his diet, the fever comes sooner.

Best wishes,

Hello, I breastfed my daughter for 13 months, however she started

fevering at 11 mos. She has not been tested for allergies (although we

may do that next). She is vegetarian and eats mostly organic and very

little processed foods.

In regards to the vitamin D question:

I didn't supplement vitamin D but we live in California and my son

was born in July. He had a ton of sunlight his first year. He was

jaundiced at birth and after 24 hours of phototherapy I made sure he

had 10-15 minutes a day of full sun exposure without sunscreen.

My daughter was breastfed 6 months, had severe reflux required prilosec. We

took her off it at 18 months per doc order and thats when she started fevering.

We have not tried the cimidtine but may in the future

Hi ,

My son is 26 months old and is still breastfed. He started fevering at

6 months, although we suspect it started around 3 months. I'm

currently in the process of weaning, and now we are experiencing more

illnesses because of it and the fact his fevers have been under control

from colchicine.
