Hi Gretchen,

No.. I know no reason to keep your child on Cimetidine if it has had little

effect on the fevers. I would discontinue...

You need to ask the doc... some wean since he has been on it long... cut to one

pill a day for a couple weeks then stop... others simply stop....

Usually the weaning is done when the effect is positive to give the immune

system time to get use to not having the medication.... and it helps the fevers

not return this way...

Check with your doc.
