Is your insurance covering it? Ours won't since she hasn't been diagnosed

officialy with " asthma " and our doctor won't diagnose her with asthma to get it

covered.

Also, has anyone heard of steriod induced diabetes? My husbands coworker came

down with it and now my husband is completely adamant about not giving Sami any

steroids, for any reason.

Ditto on the Singulair here. Must be taken every day (sorry)! My daughter even

had a relapse of fevers when we were without for five days. She has just had

another fever (over Christmas of course) but they don't go as high and are only

3 days. I think she got an episode instead of the chest cold the rest of the

family has!

Trish, Merck Pharmaceuticals does have a Patient Assistance Helpline:

800-994-2111. They might be able to give you a discount, if your child is

benefitting from the use of singulair and your insurance won't cover it. Can't

hurt to ask.
