Guest guest
The milk thing is strange. My son who is now 11 stopped drinking milk around 1 1/2-2 years of age and has never drank it since. For a while he would drink Chocolate Milk, but that didn't last to long. He really doesn't eat/drink any kind of lactose products, once in a blue moon he'll have a shake, but very rare and he never finishes it. I'll be curious to hear if this is common with others.... mom of Chance 11 Cadin 13 Keleah 9 > > Hi Micaela, > > My son is only 20 months old and has complained about the belly > pains during some of his episodes. Guest guest
Nikole drinks milk like it's manna. I don't give her any dairy products during an episode because you can imagine what a fever of 105 would do to milk in your stomach. Yuck! She's always ready for more when her fever comes down though. Guest guest
My son who turned 3 in September loves milk and has never had a problem with it. I have to make sure he's not drinking too much, the opposite problem! When he has a fever, he especially craves milk. He's been fevering for almost 2 years. Guest guest
Hi I just wanted to let you know that I also have a daughter who REFUSED to drink milk (it is not my daughter with a PFS, it is my oldest). Just so you know she is a happy healthy 10 year old. Our pediatrician had always told us that it is no big deal if we can get other things with calcium into her (such as YOGURT, cheese , etc) For her we put cheese into about everything. She loved it and still does. I just thought I would let you know our experience (and she is one of the tallest in her class!!). I have not noticed any lactose issues with my daughter with the PFS. Good luck Lori Rodgers mom to four daughters -10 Jenna - 7 Abby- 5 - 2(?PFS) >
Guest guest
Hmmm, Our son has never been a milk drinker either. He would never take it and now that he is four he is able to articulate/communicate why he doesn't like it! It truly hurts his tummy! We just had a lactose test done and his results did show that he was lactose intolerant. I wonder if there is a connection or if it is just a side issue he has?
