<The teachers and aides thought it odd that JJ and Tim can be out together

act like they never knew each other. >

Hi, Everyone..........this is so true with 'normal' kids!!! G's brother

won't acknowledge him or me if he sees us in school. I've been told 'it's

the age.'

Marisa.....I am surprised you have seen no good changes with the Paxil in 2

weeks. How long before you can up the dosage? If behaviors get worse when

you up it, then you know it's not for Brook. Don't give up, though. Out of

all the SSRI drugs, Gareth can only take Luvox and Prozac. We've been doing

the drug roller-coaster for 7 yrs. now. I will not let Gareth go for weeks

if a new med makes him more belligerent, zombie like, irritable, etc. I

have had psych. tell me it takes a month to 6 weeks for the drugs to 'kick

in'. I can't wait that long....I have found if Gareth is nasty after a week,

he's even nastier when it's upped or on it for a long time. One thing about

SSRI drugs, you can switch fairly easily from one drug to another. Take

care, Everyone.

Margaret
