LOL...., it's *always* raining until July here. Tis the season.....WE've had some good mudslides already too. It's early for that. I'm hoping to acclimate Andy to the community pool this week. Wish me luck! j

Well, we're just back from our first trip to the community pool. He did just great! I made a photograph book that I gave him at Christmas with his club card pass. It had everything in it from the building to the changing room to the shower. Andy was a little nervous, but did fantastic. It helps that all those bodily functions happened before we got to the water--nerves are good for that. There were TONS of kids there. I did not really think he'd get in but he was so excited to see all the kids. WE wanterd around with floaties and stuff. And he would grin from ear to ear, his best " I'm really happy " grin. We stayed for about 45 mintues and then went to get hamburgers. My Mom came along, just in case, and I barely needed her except for the 40 extra hands you need to carry aeverything. So....we'll go again friday or saturday, I think. Now I'm tired........ j

Guest guest
Hi Joan, I'm really jealous that you have a pool to go to in January. That sounds like the perfect outing, Brook is never happier than when he is in the pool paddling around in his floating swimwear attire. We have been having nonstop rain here too! San Francisco is 3 1/2 times normal rainfall. I'm in Orinda, near Berkeley in Ca. We're about 2 to 3 hours south of and it has been raining like crazy for a month. There aren't that many indoor pools her in Calif. When Brook was around 5 or 6 we joined a YMCA in the winter for the indoor pool for Brook and had to drop out after only a month. Brook would go no further than the shower. He stayed in the shower for about 45 minutes or more if I would have let him and preferred that to the pool which was so heavily chlorinated that Miles hated swimming in it. Anyway we decided that it was too far 45 minutes and expensive if Brook was only going to shower there. Now that he's older I'm sure he would just adore an indoor pool. Especially when he is off of school for over 2 weeks on winter break. Marisa

Holds everything, even the floaties. It is much easier. Then everything is there when you're ready to go. Come back throw wet things in dryer put back in bag. Ready to go. My husband doesn't even mind taking it. Extra clothes whatever you need fits in it. Diane
