Guest guest
<But he has startd to gain weight again on Sroquel. Now the question - do I do a trial WITHOUT Seroquel - he has been on it exactly a year at Thanksgiving- to see if sleep habits change and behavior changes so that we can get a handle on the weight, or do we leave well enough alone. Any opinions?? Sara> Hi, Everyone....Sara...I have tried to take Gareth off Risperdal and end up putting him right back on it because of extreme behaviors. Was Elie put on for behavioral problems? He's made such good progress over the past yr......after he was put on the Seraquel. Is the wt. gain from the meds or a growth spurt? Would he understand that eating dessert adds to his belly size? Gareth will tell me he's 'fat' when he can't button his pants....that's when I tell him he has to eat less food....not that it helps right now!!! It probably wouldn't hurt to try, but I wouldn't hesitate to put him back on if his behavior/social skills go downhill. You have been sounding very proud of his accomplishments over the past year....do in part to meds. Just my 2 cents worth!!! <Me thinks they are going to be harder to teach than Seth. LOL Gail :-)> Gail.......and to think, THEY are the ones with the degrees!!! LOL I think your idea is a good one....are they that embarrassed that a parent can come up with educating ideas for their child?!?!? Happy Birthday, Kathy. Take care, Everyone.
