Hi Donna & Gang,

I'm glad to hear that your eye is clearing up. I felt bad reading your post

about you not getting near your mom. My grandmother with be turning 94 in a

few days and we always visit her during Christmas vacation but dare not take

anyone near her for fear we still may be contagious. My daughter took Zeb to

her apt. tonight to watch some movies. She called a short time later telling

me how sick she felt and to come pick up Zeb right away. Our house still

lingers the scents of lysol and bleach. We are feeling better but definately

will stay in for the new year. My father in law owned a large nightclub for

years and we always spent new year's eve taking reservations, cooking and

decorating during the day and working in the evening doing whatever, cooking,

dishes, working the service bar or the door. I hated new year's eve for

years. We were usually so exhausted we couldn't wait for it to be over. My

kids were teens when they sold the place after that we always enjoyed staying

home. We saw enough party goers to last a lifetime! I usually make a seafood

dinner. We eat by candlelight and of course watch Dick . My husband has

promised this year to take a nap so he can make it until midnight. I will bet

he will be snoring in the chair by 10. I doubt that candlelight will happen

because Zeb blows them out everytime we try to light one but we will try

anyway. The city of Hartford celebrates with first night but with the cold

temps we have never gone. They have fireworks for the kids early which is

nice but too chilly for me. I pray that we all have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I thought I should mention that Zeb sneaks too but not anymore than the big

kids did.He just does different things that I chalk up to his developmental

age. I have found open packages of bologna in the playroom a few times. He

has peed on his rug in the playroom as well. I have scrubbed it but it

stinks. He has been trained for years but is just either too lazy or waits

until the last minute. He knows better and I stop him from playing in there

for a few days but it does nothing. We get no answers from him and we still

catching him doing it. I am going to rip out the rug this winter and just

leave the concrete exposed. My oldest son was a hellion and nothing that Zeb

does could ever compare to some of his antics so I'm happy and just go with

the flow.

LOLOL Charlyne!!!! I usually end up falling asleep around 11:30 and Duff

and the kids wake me. Tonight will be even harder, since last night was a

bad night. We had my little niece for a sleepover with Alison and both she

and I were up throwing up all night (whatever she had, she brought here).

She had a high fever and was so upset, so poor Duff ended up driving her home

at 3 am. I feel like a rung out dishrage today, but ohterwise ok, so we'll

still do our New Year's Eve thing. We got three invitations to go to

things, which we turned down. I feel bad, but don't want to give up our

traditions---sides I hate going out on New Years'.

Hi Donna,

Sorry to hear about you and your niece. I think this virus is traveling the

country! I'm a little late answering this question but Zeb and my husband

wanted pizza. The easiest ever. By the way, I lost the bet. Pete was up until

12:30 AM!!! I'm going to remember this year.
