Guest guest
From the Autism Research Institute Volunteers Needed for Autism Walk LA ARI supporters needed to help with event to fund treatment research Your help is needed immediately to make the inaugural Autism Walk LA - set for 8 a.m. Sat. Nov. 10 at Exposition Park near USC - a success for families living with autism. The Autism Research Institute's proceeds from the walk will fund research that has direct implications for helping autistic children and adults alive today. Last year, ARI funded $500,000 in research for effective treatments. This year we are working to double this - funding more than $1 million. Please join us in doing whatever it takes to reach this goal and move us closer to Dr. Rimland's dream to Defeat Autism Now! Volunteer Today Community support is crucial to our success - volunteers can choose from a variety of activities, including: Pre-Walk Coordination: · Calling friends, family, relatives to join the walk · Asking therapy providers to set up brochures in their office · Asking local schools and organizations to join the walk · Asking local businesses to sponsor the walk · Assisting existing volunteers in various committees Walk Day Management: · Registration · Guiding walkers · Set-up/Tear Down If you, or someone you know can help, please call or e-mail Volunteer Coordinator Dave Gillerman at: (818)625-7872 / dave@...
