Guest guest
Hi, Everybody. I contacted Hancock County MR/DD to ask about the effects of the recent floods. They do have a group home near the river. The water came up to the door, but did not go in. They do have a few families who were displaced and are cleaning up. They've received help w/housing and clothing, and could use assistance with food. See the e-mail below. Please forgive me as this is not the intent of most boards, but several people have asked how they can help. Thank you for understanding, Carolyn Hello Carolyn, Thank you so much for you offer of assistance. Steve Harper our Assistant Superintendent and Director of SSA’s has requested food cards for four families. Any money they have is going toward cleanup expenses and repairs and the SSA’s felt that if we could help with food it would ease some burden and provide for our families. We have a two Kroger locations, two Wal-Mart locations and a Meijer’s. Any would be appreciated, no preference. The address is Steve Harper c/o Blanchard Valley Center, 1700 E. Sandusky Street, Findlay, OH 45840 His direct number is 419-422-6387 x1008. His email is sharper @ blanchardvalley. org (remove spaces) Thank you again so much. I am forwarding this information to my Superintendent as well, her name is Connie Ament. She is also most appreciative and will be following up with a letter to you.
