Guest guest
From www.rescuepost.com American Media, Meet Dr. Halvorsen... By J.B. Handley ....And, for the sake of our kids, let your readers know what he's saying. Dr. Halvorsen's new book, The Truth About Vaccines, continues to make big news in the United Kingdom. If you were the average American parent, you wouldn't know it. A quick search of Google News using the name " Halvorsen " reveals articles in most of the UK's major newspapers, and not a single mention in the United States media. Not one! The most recent article on Dr. Halvorsen, which appeared over the weekend in the Belfast Telegraph, included many comments and statements that would shock most American parents of autistic children -- most of us have grown accustomed to vaccines being portrayed in the American media as 100% safe and effective and those who challenge vaccines as lunatics. Which brings me back to the Belfast Telegraph article from this weekend. The article reads like many of the questions asked every day by parents of autistic children about vaccines. Consider: Are vaccines necessary and effective? The article states: " [Halvorsen] claims that UK children are being used as `guinea pigs' and given `unnecessary' jabs for illnesses such as mumps, and a vaccine for whooping cough which has been " ineffective " in stamping out the illness. " Are children getting too many vaccines? Is the growth in vaccines related to the growth in many childhood disorders? The article states: " Dr Halvorsen points out that a child is supposed to have 25 vaccines by the time they are 15 months old. `There remains uncertainty whether the growing number of childhood vaccinations is contributing to the rising numbers of children affected by asthma, diabetes and other immune-related disorders,' he claims. " Is safety testing for vaccines adequate, particularly given the recent explosion in the number of vaccines given to children? The article states: " One vaccine expert disclosed to me that we will probably never be able to test the safety of vaccines while we bundle so many of them together and administer them at the same time. This means it's almost impossible to distinguish the side-effects of one from another. " * * * So, American Media, why should what Dr. Halvorsen says matter to you or your readers? Because we use almost exactly the same vaccine schedule here in the United States. Because we use almost exactly the same actual vaccines from the same manufacturers here in the United States. Because we are experiencing the same epidemics in childhood disorders like autism, ADHD, asthma, and food allergies that they are experiencing in the UK. Because the #1 issue for new parents (and the #1 hassle for pediatricians) is vaccines and whether or not they create risks for our children. Because Dr. Halvorsen is one of the first mainstream doctors to raise all these issues in a thorough and thoughtful manner, after more than 5 years of research. If you need some background reading, consider the articles recently written in the following newspapers: The Belfast Telegram, The South Wales Evening Post, The Daily Express, or The Daily Mail. If you know a reporter, send them this link and ask them to please consider reporting for the sake of our kids. J.B. Handley is co-founder of Generation Rescue. News about Halvorsen's book did appear in one national media publication: The Schafer Autism Report, circulation 20,000. It is the only national publication with a donation paid circulation that provides a comprehensive package of news and information for people seeking informed consent about vaccines and related matters to autism. (The SAR is delivered by email, not via website, so it lies outside the tentacles of Google and Google News tracking. Niche publishing is the direction the news business is going on the internet.)
