Guest guest
I started with 3.0, trialed 4.5 for 38 days one year ago, and for 14 days 4 months ago. 3.0 is for me, 4.5 is not as good. I may try it again just to make sure.. some day. As for allergies... I'm trying to figure out if it's helping with my chocolate allergy. I haven't pushed it yet, but I've had enough to trigger exacerbations, but not continued to see if it would.. I Just enjoy some here and there and then stop for a long while. So far, so good. What are you noticing different? [low dose naltrexone] LDN 4.5 vs 3. for men Dear group,Have any men out there noticed that they're doingbetter on 3mg then on 4.5? anyone start with 4.5 andfound their stiffness and other symptoms imporove byswitching to 3mg. Guest guest
Hi Boo, My husband started on 4.5 and had more areas of numbness and tingling start up. After 4 weeks on 4.5mg. He reduced down to 3 (2 weeks now) and so far nothing new, but the areas that had started new numbness and tingling have not gone away yet. Thanks Aletha [low dose naltrexone] LDN 4.5 vs 3. for men > > Dear group, > > Have any men out there noticed that they're doing > better on 3mg then on 4.5? anyone start with 4.5 and > found their stiffness and other symptoms imporove by > switching to 3mg. Guest guest
Hi boo Been on 4.5 for about 12 mths now and had some good results,ie mood, bladder, better balance and no or very slow progression but im a bit fed up with all the stiffness and ive heard some comments about 4.5 being to much for some of us to completely stop progression so im trying 3.0 now to see how i get on,it will be nice to not be quite so stiff as well, only the first week but ill stay on 3.0 for a few mths to see how i get on. Guest guest
Hi - I wonder if the medication you are taking inteferes with the LDN. You cannot take beta-seron therapy with it, or opiate pain killers. I stopped taking Avonex injections when I started Naltrexone a month ago, and response was slow at first. I just started the 4.5 mg two days ago, and I think I see more improvement. Guest guest
3.0 is best for me. I tried 4.5 and 3.0 for a year...trying to get to the 4.5 level. My doctor told me to be content with 3.0 - that is the best dose for me. 4.5 might be good for most people, but that doesn't mean every person. Listen to your body.... Guest guest
Hello ldn-users, the first 3 months i had no stiffnes (i started in august 2004). The last 3 months i have. I am using 4.5 mg. ldn. I mailed with dr. Bob Lawrence (UK) and he said that most men used 3.0 mg. because 4.5 mg. gave stiffnes. So i shall ask for 3.0 mg. I hope and think i " ll start in about 10 days with the 3.0 mg. Now i throw some powder out of the 4.5 mg.-capsule and i feel less stiffnes. By the way: my first 3 months ldn were a lot better (tremendous good !; a miracle !) than my last 3 months. The stifness ? I hope i do better at the 3 mg. Guest guest
Boo to yooo tooo Ok so much for the humour........Yes I started at 4.5 by taking three 1.5 mg caps. then on my next month I tried just two caps or 3.0mgs and every month or so I tried going back to 4.5 but I was always too stiff or something so I had to go back to the three mgs. I have had a pretty stable run now for the last year on just three mgs. but I had to try it for myself. All of my old allergys have gone away except for whatever "they" put in store made coleslaw which causes an imediate asthma type of reaction in me.I almost ended up in the hospital last night after a small coleslaw. There is another reason a study should be done on LDN as I think that Yes a lot of men ( for what ever reason) can not tolerate 3.0 mgs as well as a women. Oh yes and Dave hang in there we are now watching our snow leave here at home, no grass visible yet but it is comming.Yours will too.
