Dear Sirs,

I read this " immunizations " article carefully and

found that it did present both sides of the issue.

However, as a researcher who studies the facts

about vaccines and our vaccination programs,

I found this article biased in favor of vaccination.

This bias was infused by misrepresentations such as:

1. " They may also not believe the many, many independent

studies that have found no link between autism and

vaccinations. " [The truth is the truly independent

studies have found a kink between mercury poisoning

diagnosed as " autism " and the mercury (Thimerosal)

in vaccines.]

2. " Thimerosal has subsequently been removed from all

childhood vaccines, … " when several childhood

vaccines still contain some level Thimerosal and the

Thimerosal-preserved influenza vaccine is now

recommended annually for children 6-months old to,

in many cases, 18-years old. [see the FDA's website:

http://www.fda.gov/cber/vaccine/thimerosal.htm#t3

where, in addition to three Thimerosal-containing

influenza vaccines approved for children, there are

ten (10) other Thimerosal-containing vaccines that

are recommended for or may be given to children.]

3. " I have often told parents that their child may get

more methyl-mercury - a more dangerous and long-

lasting kind of mercury than ethyl-mercury - from a

tuna fish sandwich than from all their childhood

shots combined. " [since the average " tuna fish sandwich "

supplies less than 6 - 9 micrograms of mercury and a

single Thimerosal-preserved flu shot provides 12.5

micrograms (for children up to 3-years old) or 25

micrograms of mercury (for children 3 and older), this

is a patently false assertion. In addition, the

mercury in Thimerosal is as toxic or more toxic to

human systems than methyl mercury - depending upon the

system (e.g., skin, circulatory, central nervous, immune).

Were it not for your 300-word limit, I would have addressed

the other clear factual misrepresentations in this article.
