Guest guest
, This is the same map I posted here (or at least tried to) several days ago, and replied with to your posting on HuffPo about Autism in Room 5. When I first read about the problems with the teachers in Northvale, I did a quick search on the Internet, and came up with that map on my first attempt. Is it not strange that the people who live there might not be aware of the toxins that lurk not too far away, while some of us can come up with that information while sitting at our computers, hundreds of miles away? Anyway, I am glad that you took the time to visit Northvale. Personally, I doubt very much that the cleanup efforts there, re cleaning up the groundwater after it was discovered that hundreds of barrels or drums containing trichloroethylene had leached into the groundwater (at the Tect Inc. site) were successful. After the initial buried barrels were discovered, more were discovered sometime later, bringing the total to over 1,000. A lot of money was spent there, but was it well spent? I noted in my second comment to your posting at HuffPo, that studies do exist which show a synergistic effect between mercury and trichloroethylene. , I am glad that you are looking into what happened at Northvale. Perhaps what occurred there can help shed some light upon what is happening elsewhere. Aasa Kirby <dkirby@...> wrote: Here are the EPA regulated sites that are VERY CLOSE to the school. They are “light industry” – one story cinderblock affairs, mostly, without window or even a company name, but with loading docks, so you know they make something there, and small air vents, rather than big smokestacks. Guest guest
Vulcanization of rubber produces HUGE amounts of various gases, vapors and aerosols, including aromatic hydrocarbons, highly volatile sulfur compounds, aldehydes and ketones, phenols and esters and various solvents. Guest guest
Your right , and every time I get near a tire shop or walk near the tire section of Costco, I feel like I will either puke or pass out. The smell is so overwhelmingly volitile. > > > Out of personal curiosity, what toxic problems would a tire company > > present?????? > > >
Guest guest
The Vulcans can use condoms for birth control, and lots of them. Apparently, at the last AIDS conference here in Toronto, some models were sporting dresses made of condoms. Right now, I am a little too tired to dig up these pics, but as a challenge, I'll leave it up to you guys to find the pics. Lovely pics they were, dresses made out of condoms. Guest guest
Something strange: The map on the link posted below showed up fine yesterday, but today all I can get is a rather blank, blue map. Is anyone else having this problem with the Envirofacts site, or is it just me? I'll post below a list of contaminated sites (water/soil) in Northvale, some of which are quite literally only a few blocks from St. 's School: http://72.14.205.104/search?q=cache:vCgU0ciU0NMJ:www.state.nj.us/dep/srp/kcs-nj/bergen/kcs0240.htm+northvale+nj+contamination & hl=en & ct=clnk & cd=6 & gl=ca http://www.state.nj.us/dep/srp/kcs-nj/bergen/index02.html#0240 Map of Northvale (hope this link works): http://maps.google.ca/maps?ie=UTF-8 & oe=UTF-8 & hl=en & tab=wl & q=254%20livingston%20avenue%20northvale%20nj Aasa Kirby <dkirby@...> wrote: Here are the EPA regulated sites that are VERY CLOSE to the school.
