wet head in the middle of the night

I apologize if this is a repeat question but I was wondering if parents were

experiencing the following and what it means...

Oftentimes, my almost 3 yr old son w/ wakes up w/ a totally wet head of

hair on a wet pillow in the middle of the night, usually crying or whimpering,

at the end of a fever episode and sometimes in between his normal cycle. What

does this mean? Is a fever breaking on its own in the middle of the night?

Does his body have trouble regulating temperature due to at any and all

times? Just wondering...
