Guest guest
Hi,I was just wondering what is the longest your kid's have ever fevered for?with having to use panadol and nurofen every 4-6 hours. Also I am worried about my little boy he has been fevering since tuesday night.Last night we gave him Redipred and in about 3 hours the fever dropped and it has been sitting at 37.8 today.I thought Fran you may be able to help me,is the reason it dropped because he may have and it is doing it's job or will Redipred have the same affect on a child who fevers with a virus.I posted Yesterday about what is going on with my family at the moment.I get his bloods back tomorrow and am very eager to see what they find with my little man.thankyou (Mum to 4 and showing signs of )

Guest guest
Hi , The longest my daughter has ever retained her fever is six days. I know how worried you must be. I am always a wreck when Audrey fevers. I hope you get a diagnosis with your son soon and that he is on his way to feeling better. Guest guest
The longest we have had a fever was 36 hours. I don't know for sure tho. Once he starts looking better and stops needing the Motrin/tylenol, I stop checking the temp. When he is feeling good I don't want him to think he is sick just because the thermometer says there is a fever--esp when I want him back in school. -- In , " Bisson " <proudmom@...> wrote: > > kiaras longest was 14 days when she first got sick > What is the longest your kid's have fevered for? > > > Hi,I was just wondering what is the longest your kid's have ever > fevered for?with having to use panadol and nurofen every 4-6 hours. Also > I am worried about my little boy he has been fevering since > tuesday night.Last night we gave him Redipred and in about 3 hours the > fever dropped and it has been sitting at 37.8 today.I thought Fran you > may be able to help me,is the reason it dropped because he may have > and it is doing it's job or will Redipred have the same affect on > a child who fevers with a virus.I posted Yesterday about what is going > on with my family at the moment.I get his bloods back tomorrow and am > very eager to see what they find with my little man.thankyou > (Mum to 4 and showing signs of ) > > > > > >
Guest guest
Hi Hannah's longest fever was 28 days. Generally though they last 4-5 days. Usually ever six to eight months she will have a month where it seems she does nothing but fever. She has been diagnosed with clinical HIDS, her DNA came back negative but as we all know that doesn't necessarily mean it's not HIDS. We travel to NIH every 3 months and on our last visit we started Hannah on Singulair. So far this month 1 fever lasting just a few hours following sedation for dental work. Very Happy about that. She has been fevering about every 14 days for the last few months so this has been a very welcome break. The only thing I have noticed is despite the fevers being gone she still has joint swelling and fatigue. Has anyone else experienced this with their child? I would also like to say welcome to Lori! I have kept up with Nino's carepages after reading your book. Your spirit and faith really inspire me to look for the silver lining in all this. Thank you!
