Good question!!! We have been asking the same thing!!! 's

doctors want to do more invasive procedures, like bone marrow biopsy,

but when we ask about ct scans or mri's they said it most likely

wouldn't show anything. What would it hurt? (Thats right, extra cost

for the insurance company!!!)

MRI's and CT scans are NOT diagnostic tools for .

If a child has a genetic mutation for a specific genetic disorder they may

use these to see if there are brain changes like atrophy or increased brain

pressure. THIS does not occur in because is much more benign.

I am not sure what you are expecting to find with an MRI or CT scan?

has an inflammatory effect with the Cytokines etc. but none of that is

shown through scans. It will show in SED rate and ESR etc.
