We don't know the cause of Ella's fevers. Our pediatrician

diagnosed her with , but she has not had any genetic

testing done, so I know it could possible be something else

causing the fevers.

So far, the clear, runny nose is the only thing I've been

able to identify as being a possible precursor to a fever.

Once the fever hits, the runny nose is completely gone. The

only other symptom that we've been able to identify is that

she gets a sore throat with her fevers and her tonsils look

horrible (but strep test is always negative), but then again

she's only 23 months old, so she isn't able to specify

exactly how she feels or what hurts. As far as the

frequency of her fevers is concerned, there were two times

that the fevers came 3 weeks apart and they were the first

two fevers after we started using the prednisone.

Otherwise, her fevers are usually between 5-6 weeks apart.
