Guest guest
, Clay was the same way til about 2 years old. I was out on my mind with fear and frustration. Finally, our Rheumi put him on pred and we had amazing results. Will it have side effects down the road? I am sure it will but seeing my son have no life was a risk I was willing to take. Cimetidine(sp?) didn't work for us. I don't if it will help but I beleive we crushed it and put it in apple sauce. I know some drugs you can't crush, just double check. When Clay was put on pred & Colcochine combo he fevered 5 days verses 25. We are kinda of going through the same thing because NIH put him on Enbrel, fevering a day before the shot and last a few days after. About once a week and I am a little leary of this med. I am trying to trust they have a better insight. I don't mind you using my story to tell your ID doctor. The problem is this illness is considered rare so many doctors have never treated it before, ours only had one other patient at the time. Thank goodness she had some experience. They can only read what to do otherwise, while we live it. Thinking of you, Tammy
