Guest guest
Some of the side effects I was told colchicine " could " have was: stomach upset including diarrhea, hair loss, fever, male infertility (while on it), and the most concerning - effecting the white count (bone marrow). He will have routine lab work to make sure its not effecting it. So far he's doing well on it, although it might be giving him diarrhea. It seems that colchicine seemed to work right away. Like I said he wasn't well in between fevers and he would sleep alot. Now he seems almost " normal " ! Hopefully it will continue to work and he won't have any decrease in his white count. Its good that he is doing better, but bad that if he has fmf, he most likely won't outgrow it. He has not had genetic testing yet to see if he has the mutated gene. Good luck and you will be in my prayers too!
Guest guest
Question about Colchocine. Do your child have bad side effects because of it? I heard that it can cause stomach problems.
