Guest guest
We saw Dr. Klausmeier....at that time our pediatrician thought Connor might have Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (he doesn't). What type of doctor is Nobile? We are in Bloomington
Guest guest
Just wondering if you seen Dr. nobile at your visit to rileys. We took our daughter there about a year ago and she was the doctor that diagnosed Kylie with . What area of indiana are you in? intro posting I have a 4 year old son who has experienced recurrent fevers since November 2004. The fevers come on fast and furiously...he can get a fever of 104 in less than an hour. The episodes occur every 26-30 days, with a duration of 5-7 days. Connor can now tell us when an episode will occur, although we are not sure how he knows. He will tell us, " I think I'm going to have a fever tomorrow " , and the past 4 months he has started an episode within 24 hours of telling us that. The only symptoms he has are that he complains of joint pain (in particular knee pain) and frequently complains his neck hurts. Connor had frequent ear infections until age 2, and has had several recurrences of strep throat as well. In July 2005 he was diagnosed with Cat Scratch fever, which we originally thought was the cause of the fevers, but he has received treatment for the Cat Scratch, and the fevers continue. Connor has not yet been diagnosed with , and his pediatrician was not aware of it until I brought it to her attention through articles and research that I came across through a lit search. We have been to Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis, and have seen a pediatric rheumatologist, but so far no answers. My husband and I are considering having Connor's tonsils removed, but are looking for other treatment options before resorting to surgery. I am looking forward to hearing about other parents experiences with recurrent fevers, and looking for anyone in the Indianapolis area who is familiar with treating . Guest guest
- We're not too far away - Cincinnati - and our son sees Dr. Lierl at Cincinnati Children's (she's a pediatic immunologist) - she diagnosed our son right away and has been very involoved in his treatment which has been successful. Guest guest
Dr. Nobile is an infectious disease doctor. You can find at rileys web site, I believe she specializes in fevers of unknown origins. To be quite honest with you when we went there with kylie we were in and out in about two hours with a diagnosis of . That was fine at the time because finally we were getting some kind of answer to all this. Then I learned about all of the other fever disorders that could be possible. I think she just threw that's diagnosis out a little to quicky. We are having a hard time finding a pediatrician or any doctor for that matter that has even heard of anywhere in our area. We are in Chesterton , about a mile away from lake michigan, I was just wondering if maybe you have had any better luck . father to kylie 3 ?
