I didn't think to ask. You know they put in a shunt in the upper chest area and you wear that for the month, makes it easier for them so they don't have to find a vein. I'm definitely not looking forward to a month with a friggin piece of plastic and needle installed. But then again..... BIONIC ALLEY! Guest guest
They used a Central line on me at the burn unit. Is that what yours is? It isn't too bad if it is. But then again I was doped up on morphine. They go into the jugular to the Heart. So they can get instant, results on what they need to do blood, whatever. It takes about an hour to get it in. Guest guest
Hi For those of you who have recently joined the list, we had a member , Amber, whose twins were those ER babies of Carol Hathaway. Her little boy has made amazing progress and HNI were among the many things that helped. I miss Ambers posts and it seems, think of her and the family whenever I see the intials ER. Guest guest
Hi Folks, I don't know how many of you might have watched "ER" last night but there was quite a provocative message in the show. There was a major conflict between a doctor and the hospital administrators. The doctor was admonishing a pharmaceutical publicly for the adverse side effects of one of their drugs. The administrators were chiding the doctor for exposing this fact....because the pharmaceutical co. gives $20,000,000. a year to the hospital. Beware, this is only TV but unfortunately it is really going on. Regards, Tom Regards, Tom
