Guest guest
For the past 3 fever episodes, my husband has had mouth sores one day before my son starts his fevers! The doctors are dismissing it as coincidence so far. Patty Mother of 4 1/2 mouth sores My daughter Carina has been getting fevers every six weeks since last fall. She gets mouth sores with most of her fevers and sometimes in between fevers. I've noticed that her sister also gets mouth sores at times, and recently had some during a fever. Has anyone noticed mouth sores in their other children who do not have ? Thanks. Carmela Mother of Carina 3 1/
Guest guest
That is so strange - I have been getting sores in my mouth about 2-3 days before Hayden gets her fever... this has happened for over a year! Guest guest
My husband or I as well seem to have a canker sore when our daughter gets a fever. We have just recently made this discovery so we try not to kiss her when we have one. We haven't keept record yet but were very curious if there was a connection. It is interesting that others are seeing the same thing. Every thing makes me wonder, will we ever have answers? mother of ee (just turned 2) > > That is so strange - I have been getting sores in my mouth about 2- 3 > days before Hayden gets her fever... this has happened for over a year! > > > > Hayden - 7 - > > Austin, TX > > > > > > ________________________________ > > From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of > P Manning > Sent: Tuesday, June 13, 2006 8:07 AM > > Subject: RE: mouth sores in the family > > > > For the past 3 fever episodes, my husband has had mouth sores one day > before > my son starts his fevers! Guest guest
What is interesting to me is that my husband Jerry as a child and now gets canker sores even if he bites his cheek he will get one. gets them with his episodes and our son Luke who is 7 gets them. We have to watch what Luke eats, citrus, grapes and even watermelon, he even gets a low grade temp if they are bad enough. Our daughter and myself never get them???? it's a guy thing here. What's that about??? Gretchen 13 <alliandjason@...> wrote: My husband or I as well seem to have a canker sore when our daughter gets a fever. Guest guest
Hi Do your doctors have any idea what is causing your sores? Do you get swollen glands too? Guest guest
I've always been prone to canker sores - my son gets them, too. The funny thing is that my Dad (who is an Endocrinologist) thinks I may have had the same thing my daughter has when I was little - but at the time there was no diagnosis... I was sick off and on with fevers/swollen glands until I was about 6 - then it came back in middle school - but stopped once I had my tonsils out in 8th grade. I've gotten the canker sores since I was little - but it is strange that I always get at least one in my mouth a couple of days before Hayden gets sick. I've never thought to mention this to the doctor! My glands do not get swollen. Guest guest
I too haven't gotten canker sores my whole life, but was not sick as a child. I did however have severe tonsil problems all through the teenage years. I have also noticed that I get canker sores when my son does. Guest guest
I think I had this too as a child. Back then we thought I had chronic tonsillitis. Every month I was sick my mom would take me in and get a shot of penicillin. I finally got my tonsils out when I was a sophomore is HS and then I was well. Weird.....however my son's tonsil never look bad. Gretchen Gilman <katie@...> wrote: I've always been prone to canker sores - my son gets them, too. Guest guest
Hello, I have seven children and three of them get canker sores. I always thought it was just them. I haven't checked Kardyn for them. I guess now I will. Can you all tell me if the sores you are talking about are just canker sores or are they also outside the mouth? Guest guest
My husband gets canker sores inside his mouth, and sometimes a bit of a sore throat, just before gets his fever. This has happened three months in a row. We weren't looking for it when 's fevers first started, so I don't have info about earlier episodes. Guest guest
My boy's have them inside their mouths. Inside the cheek, inside the lips and down between the cheek and gum line. Very painful. I put baby oral gel on them, that seems to help so they can eat without pain and help them fall asleep. seems to notice them after his fever episodes or they show up after the fever? Good luck, Gretchen & tkfourangels <TKfourangels@...> wrote: Hello, I have seven children and three of them get canker sores. I always thought it was just them. I haven't checked Kardyn for them. Guest guest
When I get a canker sore I get very tender and slightly swollen glands (so does my sister). My husband doesn't get swollen glands but his canker sores always seem to be more painful than mine. mother of ee > > Hi > Do your doctors have any idea what is causing your sores?
