, fight, fight, fight- Do not let the lack of a simple minded,

give a poo poo less about our lives, should not be in that position-

person get away with it. This is our lives. That is what they don't

get-THIS IS OUR LIVES. Their mistakes cause our children to

virtually suffer a little longer. I wish we could clone Beverly but

we can't but Nikki is clearly not cut out for this job.

I go to the mat for Clay and I really don't care who feelings get

hurt if they are incompetent. When Clay was born the hospital moves

mother and baby to a different floor for another night for

observation, if needed. Clay had me conium so we needed it. I

started to nurse him and he started turning blue. We called the

nurse in there at least 3 different occasions. She came in and

didn't see anything " abnormal " . so she basically told us her life

story and asked my husband advice about restraining orders since he

was a cop. After the 5th blue episode we started packing and were

going to the other hospital-at 3:00 in the morning. I called

downstairs nursery, while my husband packed, to see if our delivery

nurse was there and talked to a wonderful nurse who quickly sent a

team up to get him. They took him right away and said we could have

easily lost him if we didn't get him help. He got his stomache

pumped and had needed oxygen with stuff still in his lungs. I was

furious that someone I was suppose to trust just sat back. A veteran

27 year nurse lost her job that night. That was not my goal, I don't

want anyone to lose their livelyhood. I think about that night and

think about all of the lasting things that could happen with Clay if

we didn't get help. So I am a little jaded when it comes to staff

with any facility.

Thank you Fran for this web site. I wish I could put into words the

appreciation I feel for this site and the parents. Thank you for the

advice and will start noting all of the frustrations with Nikki.

Glad to hear is okay, Dena.

Hang in there guys-Tammy, Mother of Clay
