started an episode last night 3 days before his 3 week due date and we

gave him the predisone for the first time he said he felt a little better but

not 100%, Today his fever was gone but he still felt and looked bad still down

in bed or the couch. I guess we were expecting a full recovery too soon. I

called the ID MD and he said it would probably just shorten the length of the

from 4 days to maybe 2. We will see. This 3 week is so hard on and

the rest of the family. I wish it would go away!!!!!! He had 50mg maybe he needs

more? is 12 and 110lbs. Anybody?

It takes my son several days to look and feel 100%. The fever generally

goes away, but he always looks pale, sleeps and still has a sore throat

and mouth sores. Our ID doc explained to us the Pred helps with the

fever, but the other symptoms have to run their course. Hope this helps!
