Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Well, my son did not have a fever as predicted this month. For the last six months he has had four fevers all spaced six weeks apart to the day. Before that he had two unexplained 5 day fever episodes around 10 months. He is now 21 months. He has been waking up in the middle of the night for the past week which is unusual, but otherwise he has been fine. So, now I am confused and am still waiting for the fever to hit at anytime. I am also feeling like the over paranoid parent who thinks something is wrong with their child when in reality nothing is. I read the stories here and some children were diagnosed after many fevers, and some with as few as 2 - 3 fevers. My question at this point is do most of you experience the fevers at predictable " periodic " intervals or is there usually some changes in how often the fevers come. Right now I am thankful that he is not sick again, but at the same time I feel like I lost my mark or being able to present a good case to his peditrician next time, and still feel horrible thinking there will be a next time and not just accepting that maybe all his fevers were just some weird fluke in the first place. Thank you for listening, Mom to Al-Hieser, 21 months San Francisco
