Now when applying for other programs you'll have proof that your son was denied , due to parents income . This is part of the run around . This is information that was given to us . Under certain conditions , Section 8010 , Public Law 101-239 entitles disabled children who were previosly ineligible because of deemed parental income /resources to qualify for the Texas Medicaid Program . To contact our local Social Security Administration Office to apply . We did not follow through . When our son turns 18 yrs. old then he will qualify . You can get SSA publications on the internet at http://www.ssa.gov/ . There's a handbook where you could review for future use . It varies from state to state , for more info . Go to http://www.ssa.gov/statistics/ores-home.htmi to access State Assistance Programs for SSI Recipients from SSA's Internet site . Texas does not supplement the Federal payment . Did you contact the The Center for Health Care Services (MHMR) in your area or the Austin number ? Sorry you have to mess with Texas , ha ha . Take Care .
