A pleasant weekend

Hi all:

I just wanted to say I had the pleasure of meeting Connie Curran, her son

(5) and his brothers: Austin (5), (5), and (7) over the

weekend while visiting Orlando.

While all the boys are cute, blonde, and *busy*, I of course let

steal my heart for the weekend. He's a fabulous hugger. I inflicted him

with a trip to Office Depot (don't ask---I " m not an organized person) and

he gave me the best hugs while getting a ride from me (Andy's *way* to big

to carry anymore and I do like cuddles).

Connie has done a great job of blending real life with learning (pat

yourself on the back Connie) and I have to say her organization skills had

me in awe (she blames it on having triplets, but still!).

But the most fabulous part of the visit was learning that is really

part fish! You should see this boy in the pool! He wasn't too interested in

me in the house, but when he was in the pool and I had his floaty thing,

boy did he notice me! Not that he needs the floaty thing. He jumps, he

splashes, he swims quite a distance....and he imitated, initiated

interaction with me, and gave me tons and tons of eye contact and smiles.

It made me want to have a pool available all the time! But it's a little

cold here in OR...and that was the most pleasant weather-part of the time I

saw there. The rest of the time I was drenched in humidity sweat. blech.

Anyway, I didn't want to have such a great visit to without sharing. Connie

is a lovely host and kind enough to take me on my errand. And she's one

heckuva mom.

Oh how nice Joan!!!! It is SO fun to *meet* our friends, isnt' it?!?!?

And YES, I am jealous!!!! ;-)
