Guest guest Posted June 12, 2001 Report Share Posted June 12, 2001 valerie and all, in reference to the book.....yes it's the building bridges one....i absolutely love it!!! ashton's ot has it now and then her speech path and the ld teacher at my son's school wants it....lmao i guess i shall get my turn soon......loloololol the other two books i bought are great too.... i was in livonia michigan!! somewhere past pennsylvania and the ohio turnpike....was a ten hour drive, but so worth it.... we ate at this great rest called " bahama breeze " it was sooooooooogood.....mmmmmmmmmmmm yummy to my already overflowing tummy:-) okay about Ashton's GREAT DAY!!!!!! it's been so long since i was posting positive i shall share now..... ashton's speech path and spec ed dir are making training videos to train new autism teachers and parents.. anyways, ashton is the " subject " in the videos... well after the videoing, ashton went to her third grade class. i am looking over the school for her, i find her...i peeked in the door and stoppped in my tracks..... ashton was on the floor with four other girls(nonds-pdd)they were talking to ashton in sign language about her birthday pool party which is on friday.... gelisa asked her what she was wearing....ashton signed " orange and blue " gelisa said " oh your wearing your orange and blue bathing suit " ashton said " yes me am " this carried around the group talking about different things related to ashton and ashton was participating to her best effort......she saw me and said " hi mommy go home " .......lolololol i walked out the door, got in my car and cried more tears than i have of HAPPINESS in a lonnnnnnnnngggggggggggggggggggggggggggg time. i am glad i took the time to teach that third grade class sign language although just basics, i am glad i push ashton to do her best.....seeing her be a part of that was so touching and gigantically momentious for me........ words alone can't describe, you must look into my heart and see the colors that are sprouting out within me.... seeing that makes this battle and all we do endure so very worth it...... i love my daughter so much adn i am glad i have her, along with my saggy butt, blue veins, and wilted skin, because along with that i have more insight and knowledge, i know true love and i am able to see the colors in her..... thank you god for giving her to me....... sorry so long, i am jsut bursting with joy.......tc all, leah very proud mom of ashton, almost ten ds-pdd and cameron 6 and into his body........... >From: " Gordon Burnett " <burnett@...> >Reply- >< > >Subject: Re: Great Book >Date: Tue, 12 Jun 2001 11:24:06 -0400 > >Hi Leah, > " we must endure to achieve for our kids " - so well said!!!
