Guest guest
this is the file I uploaded. The program says it'll send it every 2 weeks, but it wouldn't send it today. Also, those of you who requested to be changed to digest, that's done. j ----------------------- The 2001 NDSS Conference in San Diego will have a workshop regarding Visual strategies. The focus of this workshop is on dealing with transitions, house-hold rules, knowing where people are, daily schedules, and learning task sequences. Things that we do all the time as parents of children with autism and Down syndrome. As this was shared on the listserv, people expressed an interest in participating by sharing resources for making, designing, finding examples, and sharing strategies already created. This is an area where *we* really are the experts! I would like to put all the links and resources together for the compendium and present it as information gathered by the ds/autism listserv (and perhaps list everyone's names). This list will also be put in our files section so we can add to it or access it at any time. If you have photos of something you've designed or links to share, please send them to me by email or to my address (below). If time allows, I will make a poster of our kids if you all would like and display it at the workshop for visual strategies as well as the workshop on ds/autism. I hope you all will contribute. THE DEADLINE FOR ME TO RECEIVE INFORMATION FROM YOU IS JUNE 1, 2001. Send your ideas to: jmedlen@... or Joan Medlen PMB 179 9220 SW Barbur Blvd #119 Portland, OR 97219 Fax (type-written info only--pictures don't fax well): 503-892-0338 Thanks! I think this is a great opportunity for us to be helpful to others! Joan This reminder will be sent by the listserv program (ain't that handy?) every so often.
