Guest guest
We reversed the knob on our son's door when he got out of a crib and we lock him in his room every night so that he can't get up and get hurt or something. He likes his bed which is a day bed. This has 3 sides which contains him better and is also higher so it makes it easier to change his diaper and dress him. He has had his day bed since he was around 5 I think. He also had that Little Tikes blue car bed before that which is plastic so he wouldn't get hurt if he banged his head on it. He was having a lot of self injurious behaviors from severe reflux and was in a lot of pain at that time and we found that bed worked well for him. Now my 3 yr old daughter has it. Also we had to totally child proof his room so that he couldn't get hurt in there. Good luck with the vail bed. Marisa

Guest guest
I was wondering to the people who have vailbeds for their children, what model bed do you have, and how do you like it? how did your children respond to it? -mom to 5 boys, alek 8, andrew, 6, bailey 5 ds/asd, logan 3 and liam 1., I applied for one about 2 weeks ago and they told me on friday I was approved. my insurance is paying the whole cost. Those of you who don't have them what do you do when your child gets up at night?
Guest guest
i think nathan's is a vailbed 2000, he has liked it from the beginning, the main problem we have is keeping the vail clean, its soo big and heavy to take to the laundrymat to use their 30-50lb washing machine, but nathan has learned to stay in room over the last 4years of having this bed, now we are doing a trial period of no vail and soo far other than occasionally finding him asleep on the floor, which i dont get, he has the siderails, he seems to be doing fine, but summer is coming, i need to call the cop shop and update nathan's info, for the just in case, weve been very blessed in the past with finding him before he has gotten to far away, but he keeps getting older and more capable. shawna. >From: Doug <doug.smith@...> >Reply- > >Subject: vailbeds >Date: Mon, 09 Apr 2001 11:06:55 -0400 > >I was wondering to the people who have vailbeds for their children, what >model bed do you have, and how do you like it? how did your children >respond to it? >-mom to 5 boys, alek 8, andrew, 6, bailey 5 ds/asd, logan 3 and liam >1., I applied for one about 2 weeks ago and they told me on friday I was >approved. my insurance is paying the whole cost. Guest guest
has SIB too, and use to bang his head horribly, but the vail bed is all padded for thises things or seizures too, all he wuld ever get if headbanging in his vailbed was netting marks on his head or shoulders or upperback, his meds keep him calm enough he rarely does this anymore. shawna. >From: poggim@... >Reply- > >Subject: Re: vailbeds >Date: Mon, 9 Apr 2001 14:07:26 EDT > >We reversed the knob on our son's door when he got out of a crib and we >lock >him in his room every night so that he can't get up and get hurt or >something.
