valerie,

i bought " picture this " and it is so worth the money, which is relatively

inexpensive considered to boardmaker......i like my boardmaker too though

because you can get the sign language addendums for under fifty

dollars.......

back to the picture this cd, all the pictures are of real objects, so when

making social stories or ashton's schedules, it's very easy for her to

visually recognize because the objects are real in the pictures... and i

don't have to purchase film, pay for developing or nothing...i just use my

little sticker camera when i need a specific picture, like of her school or

something... i did take pictures of all staff and classmates, and just

copied and pasted them down to 1 1/2 inch symbols for her...

you can also go to www.clipart.com and get tons of pictures

www.disneyclipart.com for movie symbols, and www.dotolearn.com and get black

and white symbols plus lots of schedule's already made,,,you can just print

them out and fill in the blanks..... hope this helps... if you need a

particular pic, let me know.i have a library of over 500pictures printed out

in scrapbooks...lloolol

Ok Leah. I was going to ask this question. We already have Picture This

and I am considering Boardmaker. You and Joan both know Maddie. Is

Picture This something I can use for her? Currently, I lent it to her

teacher (who uses boardmaker) but will get it back this week. I purchased

the set of pictures from Pyramid, and I do like them. But I still need

various kinds. What do you guys think?

Ok, I really am leaving to go lay down now.....:) And take more Motrin!!

Donna
