Guest guest
What does that mean??? A realistic test for perspective parents? Does that mean after Mom is pregnant or before like Fragile X or Cyctic Fibrosis testing?? Guest guest
Kim, They are chasing their genetic tails. Fragile X and Cyctic Fibrosis are biologically defined. DSM IV autism is only a collection of labels based on a range of presenting behaviors. So, if your looking for susceptibility markers, it begs the question, susceptibility to what, exactly? If it is susceptibility to environmental factors that result in ASD behavior, then one would expect that you would have to first identify what those factors are. By trying to map genetic factors to autistic behaviors, they are, in effect, trying desperately to ignore that inconvenient dirty vaccines elephant in the living room -- the elephant that is becoming more obvious to more of us who live in the real world. Welcome to genetic research. Resistance is futile. Guest guest
I'm just going to turn off my computer for the night. My blood pressure is rising. My husband is away. If my head explodes, my girls, who happen to have autism, did you all know that? can not dial 911 for me like the cute tots on the evening news. It's part of their GIFT of autism. They will walk throught the bloody mess of my exploded head and slip and fall in the puddles of Type A blood (there's a shock, yes?) on their way to the pantry to gorge themselves on Coco Loco bars. They may bump their heads and get hurt. I will be hurtling toward heaven or hell, not sure, and unable to tend to them. might say " Get up Mom. " I will not get up, as my carotid artery will have exanguinated. I just washed my floors this morning. The entire scenario is too ugly. Therefore, I will log off for the night. And I will go find a paper bag to breathe in and out and in and out. Guest guest
I believe that there is indeed a clear genetic link to autism that could lead to counseling parents to consider alternatives to conceiving a child (although I will NEVER support using elective surgery to cull the herd). The problem is the researchers are not looking in the right place for the gene(s). It is my opinion that it will be the gene(s) involved with regulating the human immune system and the detox system that will be the true autism gene. Our kids have regressed bcause they cannot handle the poisons that all children are routinely exposed to, most significantly toxic metals and certain viruses. I do not believe that these are strictly limited to those toxins unsed in the vaccination program. I do believe that the poisons we inject our children with do represent a 100% controllable exposure that should never be jabbed into the arms, thighs and buttocks of those children whose bodies cannot handle the load. The current vaccination policies are 180 degrees opposed to the hypocratic oath, an oath all medical personnel are supposed to adhere to, a philosophy of practice whcih can be summed up in the simple phrase " first do no harm " . I thought Rollens help start M.I.N.D. with proper intent. Has M.I.N.D. been subjugated by those who will employ any tactic possible to divert attention from ethyl mercury, risky viral innoculations and the burden of liability and guilt that our Federal, State and Local Health Officials own? Will M.I.N.D. do the right thing and look specifically for the genes which actually hold promise to be directly associated with the predisposition to be damaged by metals and immune assaults, vindicating those of us who know but cannot yet prove the truth? Or has UC- fallen to the pressure of corporate sponsorship and put their foot down on the throat of M.I.N.D. like we have seen other institutions of higher learning do? Where is my boy's Parks? ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____Take the Internet to Go: Go puts the Internet in your pocket: mail, news, photos & more. http://mobile./go?refer=1GNXIC

Guest guest
Same here, I though M.I.N.D. was off to such a promising start, what the **** is going on there now? should we send off a petition? make it public? sort of try and embarass them for losing the track and diverting money to things that do nothing to help?
