I can't agree with this part (sounds too much like not looking for the causes of autism in the most likely places...): "We should accept that we are not going to uncover either a smoking gun that tells us what went wrong, or a magic bullet that corrects it. Instead we need to concentrate resources on more direct, practical interventions that help Gulf war veterans right now.
