Guest guest
Don't get me wrong, I am not usually this quick to associate one thing to another, I will give it several days and play around with doseage etc until I am sure its working. Just now I heard the cat leave his room, Gavin likes the door shut and when the cat leave the door gets opened and he usually SCREAMS, "DOOR SHUT DOOR SHUT" over and over until I shut his door... I heard the cat, and heard Gavin say "Uh-oh" and then he got up and shut his own door!!! holy crap again! jenny. Re: OT: a holy crap moment, Vit B6 That is wonderful, .Thank God for holy crap.Rox" M. Guest guest
- I’m soooo happy for you. We have had so many “holy crap moments” in the last year- I know how it feels. You might want to start writing this stuff down (if you don’t already). I have to keep a blog, because I forget everything On 4/28/07 8:53 PM, " M. Guest guest
10 and a half!! we started DAN! about 1.5 years ago and still trying to tweak things with him, he has had a very bad year or so... (never looked and acted more autistic in his life, know what I mean? )so this was encouraging tonight.. a glimpse of a calmer gavin. Guest guest
It's funny, when we started supplements in Nov 05, one of the first things we were given by our DAN was Kirkman's B6/magnesium. , at the time was a few days away from turning 10. Wehad been experiencing the same types of behaviors...screaming over the tiniest things. I immediately noticed that calmness when things didn't go right for him. As as an extra bonus...historically he had been experiencing seasonal affect disorder from Nov-Feb since he was 4. NO SEASONAL AFFECT AFTER WE STARTED SUPPLEMENTS!! Another thing, .... always wants the door shut too, and when I walk in (MY ROOM...where he's watching tv) he immediately puts the channel guide on so I can't see what cartoon he is watching! , mom to , 11.5, aspergers" M. Guest guest
lol, that is funny about the channel guide!! This morning Gavin corrected his brother when Liam hit the cat... "Don't hit Daisy" and then Gavin got up and pet daisy and asked her if she was ok... NEVER has he done that. Also, today was free of one of his psychotic-schedule-scripting moments... which usually occur twice a day at least, 20 minutes of "first dr. brads, then ride in the car, then joan, then sleep all night, then go see christy, then long ride.." (etc) to which we reply Yes or no. If the answer is no this still goes on for 20 minutes... if the answer is yes this still goes on for 20 minutes. Sometimes ending in tears and hitting --but always ending ugly... we didn't do that today... not once.... holding my breath...
