Forgive me, Casper, but can you show me where all these so-called

changes occur in the Bible? You will have trouble doing this, as I

have spent 40 years seeking them -and now believe that so many have

said this that it has become a genuine urban myth. The same goes for

historical errors (although earlier in archeological history there

seemed to have been some). In fact, today archeologists use parts of

the Old Testament to double-check findings.The copiers of Old

Testament manuscripts were assiduous in their efforts to copy

precisely (not just accurately, but precise - even carrying over marks

where slight " typo's " had been made previously).

And by " re-writes " - do you mean translations? (of which there have

been many -- but no genuine translation, when re-translated, is seen

to be anything less than the original - although simpler language to

suit the tribal or ethnic need is often used).

I am not a member of any church, but am a Christian whose life was

changed by that good Book in particular by the Greek/Jewish writer and

theologian of Tarsus (who believed enough to die for what he

wrote about) , who wrote his Book of Romans about 57 AD, not long

after his own amazing encounter and conversion with the risen from the

dead - Jesus, the promised messiah (and in Isaiah you find the

prophesy of His manner of death & resurrection - written 700 BC

-although some say it was only 200 BC - that is still a prophecy, is

it not? And there is Micah, about the same vintage (700 BC) -who

prophesied WHERE he would be born. And events described by Micah shows

his authorship date to be accurate. Hope this helps you to affirm your

faith in something solid in this uncertain world. Because there are

many evil forces (as you say) and their chief target often seems to be

the very thing that is true & good - genuine faith in a very good Person.

(Truth, my friend, is stranger than fiction -- if anybody has a better

answer to the puzzle of this evil/good world,and death -- let me know,

I have not found it in any other faith .. Grace that is, the free gift

of Eternity to you or anybody who accepts this gospel).
