Guest guest
I think most of us can see through this one. I don't believe there is anything that big Pharma is not capable of doing, including having our access to natural remedies and treatments taken from us. Big Pharma doesn't make any money off of healthy people. Guest guest
Well I will tell you what I think. Imus is a free man now. Free to go on Sirius Radio or some other syndicated station. And then he can speak his mind. Freely, without reservation or restriction. He can call anyone he wants, whatever he wants. And if he cares to release mercury/vaccine information, he can do it loud and clear. Nobody to stop him, not even Al Sharpton. So if in fact there was a conspiracy to get him fired, they didn't shoot themselves in the foot, they shot themselves in the head. He's a loose cannon now with absolutely no one to answer to. And he's more dangerous to them than ever. Hypocrite? Yep, I'd say that for sure. Next time they are on TV, we all need to call the stations advertisers and tell them you won't be supporting their products any longer because they support Al Sharpton. I wonder what will happen then? Guest guest
Well, let's hope he goes to a regular syndicated station and not Sirius. Unfortunately, as much as we loved him, he was not exactly the top in his field. Going to Sirius worked for Stern because he was the top shock jock and has a tremendously huge following, and yet even he lost some of his regular listeners who didn't want to pay to hear him. I am not confident that Imus's primary base is going to pay either. The general base, as said, is older white men. They are not going to be as quick to deal out the cash to listen to him, whereas Stern's following included a lot of younger people who would. I just hope someone does pick him up soon. Col I smell a conspiracy; somehow I think the 'real power' behind Revs Al > Sharpton and 's attack on IMUS had Big Pharma $$$$$ behind > it .... > > http://www.huffingtonpost.com/david-kirby/the-other-secret-bush- > cou_b_34232.html > > Could you really imagine Big Pharma sitting back and letting IMUS rant > for weeks about this? Guest guest
There's nothing free about censorship. That's right and you're wrong. Luther once said, " there's nothing I can do to prevent the birds from flying around in the air, but I certainly can prevent them from nesting in my hair. " I actually have a license I was issued by the FCC way back when I was a part-time announcer for a Christian AM station, WAYR 550 in Orange Park, Florida. In every broadcast room, on every board, amongst the toggles and pots there's a seven second delay button. For all practical purposes the fact that MSNBC failed to protect the public airwaves from misfortunate and unseemly remarks by employing at least a competently- trained technician to depress this button appropriately is at the core of this issue. Don Imus constitutionally has the right to open his mouth and say anything he wants to say. No one has the right to deny him. Does this make his statement acceptable to personal standards? No way, but it in no way makes it illegal to say what Don Imus said. When Pryor types with a crude, caustic disposition appeared more frequently on talent venues such as the Tonight Show with ny Carson it was very hard to understand any of his routine because frequently his mouth would move and no one could here a word he was saying. There's been a recent resurrection of a dead case in which we are told of a black man from Chicago visiting family in the south. While visiting he was lynched or hung or something for whistling at a white woman. By saying that Don Imus was wrong and for his statement deserves to be kicked off the public airwaves means that you agree with the murder of this man. I smell a conspiracy; somehow I think the 'real power' behind Revs Al > Sharpton and 's attack on IMUS had Big Pharma $$$$$ behind > it .... > > http://www.huffingtonpost.com/david-kirby/the-other-secret-bush- > cou_b_34232.html > > Could you really imagine Big Pharma sitting back and letting IMUS rant > for weeks about this? Guest guest
....don't you just love how MSNBC and CBS radio just HAD to fire him in the middle of a telephone to raise money for kids with cancer, SIDs,etc ?!?!?!?!??! ....and right smack dab in the middle of Autism awareness month no less !!!!!They couldn't wait until after he had met with the Rutgers team who DID accept his apology. All of a sudden satellite radio is looking better and better... Guest guest
The timing was terrible. I actually heard from some of the DJ's that are on the same station that Imus was on... I think their names were Mike and the Mad Dog (or something, I'm not from NY). They said that on Thursday (when Imus was on the radiothon, but before he was fired) that they were meeting with previous to the show saying is there anyway that you can take this outside of the building? Is there any other place for you to go to do this radiothon? They said that this was how Imus knew that he was gone... before he officially got the pink slip. Can you imagine? I'm sorry but Al Sharpton is a DIVIDER more than anything else. I smell a conspiracy; somehow I > > think the 'real power' > > > behind Revs Al > > > > Sharpton and 's attack on IMUS had Big Pharma > $$$$$ > > behind > > > > it .... > > > > > > > > http://www.huffingtonpost.com/david-kirby/the-other-secret- bush- > > > > cou_b_34232.html > > > > > > > > Could you really imagine Big Pharma sitting back and letting > IMUS > > rant > > > > for weeks about this? Guest guest
Sorry, I have to retract my previous post. As I sent it, I realized that I think that I mixed two parts of the story up. Perhaps the other DJ's said that something was said before the Thursday radiothon which led Imus to believe that he would be fired. Perhaps it was Friday that they asked him if he could find another place for the radiothon because he wouldn't be allowed in the building. I'm not sure. Sorry.... I smell a conspiracy; somehow > I > > > think the 'real power' > > > > behind Revs Al > > > > > Sharpton and 's attack on IMUS had Big Pharma > > $$$$$ > > > behind > > > > > it .... > > > > > > > > > > http://www.huffingtonpost.com/david-kirby/the-other-secret- > bush- > > > > > cou_b_34232.html > > > > > > > > > > Could you really imagine Big Pharma sitting back and letting > > IMUS > > > rant > > > > > for weeks about this? Guest guest
I was listneing to a reporter last night, not sure who it was, but called MSNBC TRUE hypocrites. The one who fired him also he runs BET (black entertainment television) where all the nasty hip hop is broadcast and one other media outlet that puts out all that vile stuff. He gave his reason was to keep this vile talk from young people who are NOT Imus listeners to begin with. Guest guest
Imus getting fired in the middle of Autism Awareness month is like Al Sharpton getting fired in the middle of Black History Month! Let Sharpton and collect their blood money from big Pharma for being Big Pharma's lackeys. They ultimately will have to account for their actions...
