FREE online training webinar entitled On the Job Training: The 1, 2, 3’s of

OJT’s. The webinar will provide practical information from the perspective

of a career counselor who has extensively researched information on OJT’s

and found success in utilizing them in a variety of ways. Bree Kennedy will

discuss the following topics in a simplified manner with the hopes of

improving your comfort and familiarity with this process:*

* • Overview of the Department of Rehabilitation's On the Job Training (OJT)

Agreement*

* • When to use and when not to use an OJT*

* • Different strategies and approaches to propose OJTs to employers *

* • Step by step process of how to complete all paperwork and forms involved

to ensure easy and efficient processing by the Department of Rehabilitation

staff*

* • Timeline of employer reimbursement*

*Bree Kennedy is a Vocational Specialist for the WorkAbility III Program at

San Diego Community College District. She is presently working on her M.S.

degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and will be completing it this fall. She

obtained her B.S. in Psychology from San Diego State University in 2008 and

has been working with individuals with disabilities for over 6 years. She

has spent the last 3 years focusing on career exploration, employment

preparation, and job development strategies for individuals with

disabilities. Bree is also an active member of the Career Development &

Counseling Interest Group for California Association for Postsecondary

Education and Disability. *
