Guest guest
My main problem right now with being on my own, is cooking. If I never eat another tv dinner I'll die happy lol! Anyone have any cooking tips, quick and easy recipes that chew easy? Really can't fry anything cause my stoves inaccessible. I use my microwave and a large toaster oven (try finding one with buttons instead of knobs!). I do get Meals On Wheels but they charge me $5 cause I'm not over 60, and some of the stuff I can't chew- alot of it's nasty tasting too, but it helps with the cooking problem. I get $50 worth of food stamps a month ( some of my workers get $300-$400 or more, don't seem fair). This might help some others......I was having great difficulty getting the food from the microwave to my dining table. I bought a height adjustible laptop tray thats on wheels and use that, works great! Doug
Guest guest
Doug, Would a small slow cooker(crock pot) be something you could manage if u could find one with controls that you can operate? Once the ingredients are in the pot, there's not much to do except stir a bit...and stuff cooked in there (pulled pork, stew, veggies, etc.) would be really tender. > > My main problem right now with being on my own, is cooking. Guest guest
My thoughts exactly , my morning pca can put everything together in the morning, and the afternoon girl can finish. Thats how I currently manage my laundry, works pretty good with only an hours time. Now gotta find a nice easy crock pot, thanks Doug
