Guest guest
Thank you for this, alana. I've had nothing but trouble with my g-tube, my body just won't heal around it. My dr doesn't know anything though, what exactly is the silver coat & where can I find it? Does it cover an existing tube or is it it's own thing? Guest guest
, You may have developed a latex allergy. I did a couple of years ago. I am very careful now. Lori I am Bippy on Twitter. ________________________________ From: althegrrl <alanarutht@...> Sent: Wed, January 12, 2011 3:15:31 PM Subject: Re: Mic-Key button Question......Gross...might not want to read... It's silver coating over the latex tube. I know they're available for indwelling catheters and endotracheal tubes. Ask a gastroenterologist. G-Tubes are a lot like urinary catheters, though, maybe the silver coating is counter-indicated around stomach acid. I can't find anything online. > > > silver-coated tubes.
