Guest guest
Donna, thanks for asking, is fine. Yesterday, he said his head hurt, and I asked him if it hurt inside or when i touched it. He said, " en u touch it " ( " when you touch it). I wasn't really worried about a concusion (I got one when I was 12 and fell off my bicycle, and my mom is a nurse). I was more worried about internal bruising, that doesn't show up right away. The nurse line that I talked to called me 3 times during the night (our bedroom phone is broke and we can't hear it ring, don't know why we still have it.....) and left messages. Then they called about 2:30 yesterday afternoon. I thought it was nice of them to follow up like that. He never threw up, or acted confused, he was just really fussy and complaining of a headache. Like I said, was 7 before he started complaining of body aches.... It's so darned scary when our kids get hurt!!! My concussion was actually pretty funny AND embarrassing!!!! I got it by climbing the ladder to the top bunk of the boys' beds to make the top bed. There I was, on the rung, and I started to fall backwards, so I grabbed the bar and out it came, smacked me in the forehead and I landed flat on my back on the floor. I had a giant egg on the middle of my forehead for the weekend. And we had to go to a BIG family party for Duff's parents' anniversary too, so I couldn't skirt it!!! Had to fess up on how I got it. Definitely out of a Three Stooges episode !! LOLOL Donna
